Days and Months – Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
In this lesson, students will focus on learning the days Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. They will practice asking and answering the question “What day is it today?”. The verb bring will be introduced, along with the sight words am and have. Students will learn about the proper grammar rule of capitalizing the days of the week, as they are proper nouns. For phonics, the lesson will focus on the difference between the soft and hard “g” sounds (e.g., giraffe vs. goat). This will help students recognize and pronounce these sounds in words.
